A.N.G.L.E. Internship
This internship is limited geographically to Southern California. This limitation is intended to foster the networking aspect of the internship whereby the Foundation will facilitate interaction between interns to share their individual progress and receive additional specialized skills education and training from local community leaders.
The application for the 2011 A.N.G.L.E. Summer Internship consists of four parts:
- A cover letter addressed to the Internship Review Committee which includes:
- All of your contact information (home and school)
- Your educational experience and current standing (e.g. sophomore) and major / minor
- A thorough description of the host organization and its capacity to address the areas of development within your intended curriculum
- How you learned about the Hitt Foundation Internships.
- A 750-800 word essay explaining why you are personally interested in, qualified for, and how you hope to benefit from the internship experience.
- Your resume detailing any previous work experience, awards and activities.
- The Sponsor Agreement is a detailed description of the curriculum you will be completing while interning at the host institution. The Sponsor Agreement is made between you and a nonprofit organization dedicated in whole, or in part, to the advancement of LGBT equality. This document is an in-depth description where you and your sponsoring organization describe in detail the clearly agreed upon goals of your intended internship.
